Ok, so the regulars will know I've never fully created a gta deathmatch, I started one and didn't finish it and don't plan on finishing that one as the idea I had at the time doesn't seem like such as good idea any more. Well, I have another idea. I need to box the people in though in quite a large area, I believe the 50 props will be enough to do it but I just need the quickest way to do it really. From looking at the different props the 'Construction Fence' from the 'Barriers' category appears to be the best prop to do this with - correct me if I'm wrong please? (I'm new to this) I'm assuming this is just going to be quite a lengthy process to do? I need to make sure there are no gaps people can fit through, is there a quick way to do this rather than the struggle it looks to be? So I have 2 questions above really, I'd appreciate any response. 1. Is the Construction Fence the best prop to use or is there better prop? (if so please name which one) 2. Is there a quick way to place these props or is it a case of going the whole way around quickly and then going back to the beginning to fix the actual placement? I'll just save what I've done so far an continue on when I've had a few answers.

If you are trying to keep all the players in the confined space, the blue fence is the best mate, IIRC the construction fence is the grey one? Either way the grey one is climbable and the blue one isn't. The cabins I believe are slightly longer than the blue fence and I'm pretty sure you can't climb them, if I'm correct then cabins might be a better option.
As for speeding the process up, there's not much you can do mate, all prop building is very time consuming. One bit of advice I can give is; if you are using the blue fences don't worry to much about them being perfectly placed, EG touching each other, perfectly in line etc. Just make sure the you're unable to breach the gaps.
Also not sure what you are planning but Sandy Shores air field is the best open space, almost everywhere else on the map will need you to glitch in props as the lands not flat, hope this helps mate.

Yeah I'm trying to keep them in a confined space. The construction fence is the blue one so I'll use that one then as I don't want anyone to be able to climb out. I tried the cabins I believe it was but there was always a gap in between them no matter how much I tried to fit them together.
Ok, I'll take the time to do it, just wondered if there would be a quicker way like being able drag one prop across and it calculating the amount of props it would need to cover that space etc. I'll give it a go I can always preview as I go I think anyway, so I'll just need to get on with it.
It's not so much an open space. It's more a case of wanting to make the deathmatch in one specific area and if I don't keep players within the certain map then it will ruin the DM.
I'll get cracking with it again soon.

Yeah the blue one isn't climbable. The cabins can havea wee gap and you still can't get through though, also some cabins (long and corrugated) can be placed pretty much side by side touching. The containers I think are probably best, they are longer and you can't climb on the closed containers. I would personally go for the containers as you won't need as many because they are longer but it depends how big an area you want, the blue construction fence is probably the best but you might not have enough props to carry it out. Paddy's bar room brawls are a good example of closed in areas.

Thanks Bob.
I went with the blue construction fence instead of containers because I think it made sense given the location. (Don't want anyone confused lol)
I've closed the area I need now, I actually had to use the full 50 props, so I was quite lucky actually.
I actually really like those DMs of Paddy's, so maybe it's the type of DM I like, well tbh I just love DMs lol
I have another question related to team spawn points but I'll create a new thread for that just in case it can help others out too.
